The Trent Lott Geospatial and Visualization Research Center (TLGVRC) is a cutting-edge research facility located at the Mississippi e-Center, Jackson State University. TLGVRC is equipped with state-of-the-art capabilities and expertise in the areas of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing (RS), Scientific Visualization (SciViz) and Climatic Modeling. This unique combination of technology, data, people, and institutional collaborations enables the discovery, evaluation, and application of geospatial and visual data for adding value to research across various areas and disciplines. The goal of TLGVRC is to provide a consistent and reliable means to produce and share geospatial and visualized data among all users, which would lead to enhanced management and use of data as well as expanded research results. The key objectives are to improve planning, analysis, and decision-making through commonly available geospatial and visualized data applications; to ensure that end-users are able to acquire reliable data, detailed visualization; and to increase the number of qualified professionals in GIS, remote sensing, scientific visualization, and related fields.
